COVID Related FAQ - How Fast Can I Get A Passport?
By Kennedee Keys, on March 24, 2021
Currently, the department of state has changed their expediting service to 4-6 weeks. You can apply for routine service and expect to receive your passport in 10-12 weeks. In the previous years, the expediting time for the US Department of State was 2 weeks. Third-party agencies like APVI would have been able to process passports in as fast as 24 hours, but unfortunately due to COVID-19, we have been unable to process any type of passports. Some passport agencies are offering extremely limited appointments for people who have urgent international travel within 3 business days. You must make an appointment using the Department of State's Online Appointment System. The number of appointments available may vary from week to week.
